Scientific Research and Graduate Studies
Welcome to the Deanship of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies (DSRGS).
The mission of the Deanship of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies at AUM is to encourage, foster and advance scientific research within all faculties. A primary goal for the DSRGS is to obtain high ranks for the University in the top World University Ranking systems WUR. In 2022, the AUM has been listed in the Times Higher Education (THE) WUR.
The DSRGS supports faculty members in attending conferences and in conducting research by all means. The Deanship strives to build external partnerships with various government and non-government entities, enterprises and universities and seeks external funding for research.
The DSRGS administers all Master Programs running at AUM and seeks to graduate competent postgraduates who are equipped with the academic and practical skills and knowledge needed for the job market. Two Master programs are currently running at AUM; the Master degree in Risk Management and the MBA and Business Analytics program.
The Dean of the DSRGS works with local, regional and international partners to advance the international position of the University. The AUM has recently joined the Association of Arab University Ranking system and is expecting to be assigned a rank among all Arab Universities. During 2021-2023, the volume of research at AUM has doubled compared to the previous years and an increasing focus on incentivizing researchers has been made.
The DSRGS works relentlessly to increase the research citations of all AUM faculty members by encouraging them to subscribe to all research platforms. The majority of AUM faculty members have now Scopus, ORCID and JOIP profiles that aim to increase their visibility as researchers; locally, regionally and internationally.
