Institutional Review Board (IRB)
AUM is committed to upholding the principles of scientific research ethics and adheres to internationally recognized regulations, particularly the World Medical Association's Declaration of Helsinki and the Belmont Report. Additionally, we follow the principles established by the International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) and the Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Guidelines. For pharmacological studies, we comply with the regulations set forth by the Jordanian Food and Drug Administration.
The University ensures that all research involving human subjects receives approval from the University's Institutional Review Board (IRB). In all research endeavors, we prioritize the ethical treatment of human subjects, emphasizing respect for personal autonomy, beneficence, and justice. This commitment underscores our dedication to upholding human moral values and preserving human dignity throughout the research process. The Institutional Review Board is concerned with examining ethical issues related to scientific research via the evaluation of submitted research proposals from all faculties and following up on research activities.
It is requested by researchers from all faculties, whether research is done on humans or research requires experiments on animals, and make the appropriate decisions regarding them.
