The Department of Cybersecurity in the Faculty of Information Technology at the American University of Madaba (AUM) is pleased to announce an exceptional Ph.D. scholarship opportunity. This opportunity is open to distinguished applicants who demonstrate strong potential in teaching, research, and innovation within the field of Cybersecurity.

 

Educational Requirements

Required Documents

- Nationality: Must hold Jordanian nationality.

- Educational Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, with a minimum rating of "Very Good."

- Master’s degree in a relevant field, also with a "Very Good" rating.

- Degrees must be obtained through full-time study from a recognized institution.

- The required research fields:

  •        * Network Security ( Intrusion detection and                  prevention  systems, Secure network protocols, and Wireless and mobile network security)
  •        * Cryptography and Data Encryption
  •         *  Cloud and Distributed Systems Security
  •         * Software and Application Security ( ex. Vulnerability assessment and penetration testing
  • * Digital Forensics (Cyber threat intelligence, Malware analysis and reverse engineering, Forensic investigation techniques
  •  * Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Cybersecurity
  •      *  Internet of Things (IoT) Security

*- Language Proficiency: Minimum 550 (213 CBT, 79 iBT) or IELTS score of 6.0

 - Age: Applicants should be no older than 33 years.

 

* Certified high school certificate and transcript.

* Certified copies of bachelor’s and master’s degree certificates and transcripts.

* Equivalency certificate (if applicable).

* Copy of passport.

* Current curriculum vitae (CV) and a recent photo.

* Certificate of no criminal record.

Priority Consideration:

Preference will be given to applicants who are either currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program or possess an unconditional admission offer from a recognized university, with priority given to institutions in the United States.
