Thursday, December 12, 2024 — The Faculty of Languages and Communication and the Language Center at the American University of Madaba (AUM) organized a transformative workshop on "Youth as Change Agents: Leading the Way in Non-Violent Action", held in collaboration with students from the Latin Patriarchate School in Fuhais city. This interactive workshop aligns with AUM’s vision and mission, as well as the strategic goals of the Faculty of Languages and Communication and the Language Center, which emphasize lifelong learning, dialogue, respect, and tolerance.

Funded by the Pontifical Mission in Amman, the workshop aimed to equip students with essential skills for handling various real-life situations using dialogue, respect, and non-violent approaches. The event combined both theoretical and practical elements, ensuring an engaging and comprehensive learning experience.

Mr. Bishara Tanonus led the workshop, offering valuable insights and strategies on non-violent communication. The session was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Hanan Madanat and Dr. Afaq Khzouz, who ensured the workshop's alignment with AUM's educational objectives.

Students participated actively, learning how to resolve conflicts constructively and promote tolerance. At the end of the workshop, participants presented projects that showcased their ability to manage different scenarios using the principles taught during the session.
