الأردن معرضاً توثيقيّاً فوتوغرافيّاً لتاريخ الكنيسة الكاثوليكيّة في الأردن، وندوة حول تاريخ الكنائس، وذلك في يوم الثلاثاء
10/ 12/ 2024، وبدعم من البعثة البابويّة – مكتب الأردنّ. شارك في الندوة كلّ من أ.د زيدان كفافي: أستاذ الآثار
والأنثروبولوجيا، والرئيس السابق لجامعة اليرموك، وقد تحدّث عن الوجود الأركيولوجيّ للكنيسة قبل الإسلام، وأ.د هند أبو
الشعر: أستاذة التاريخ الحديث في جامعة آل البيت، وتحدّثت عن تاريخ الكنائس في العهد العثمانيّ في بلاد الشام، وأدارت الندوة
أ.د. شهلا العجيلي أستاذة الأدب العربيّ الحديث والدراسات الثقافيّة في الجامعة الأميركيّة في مادبا. حضر هذه الفاعليّة، التي
أقيمت ضمن احتفالات الجامعة بمناسبة عيد الميلاد المجيد، عدد من طلبة الجامعة الأميركيّة في مادبا، وأساتذتها وإداريّيها،
والباحثين المهتمّين، وضيوف من المجتمع المحليّ، وما يزال المعرض التوثيقيّ مفتوحاً للجمهور إلى يوم 19/ 12/ 2024 في
صالة مبنى BA.
The Faculty of Languages and Communication, in collaboration with the Faculty of Architecture
and Design at the American University of Madaba (AUM) and the Friends of Jordan Festivals
Association, organized a photographic documentary exhibition on the history of the Catholic
Church in Jordan and a seminar on the history of churches. The event took place on Tuesday,
December 10, 2024, with the support of the Apostolic Delegation – Jordan Office.
The seminar featured notable participants, including Prof. Zaidan Kafafi, Professor of
Archaeology and Anthropology and former President of Yarmouk University, who spoke about
the archaeological presence of the Church before Islam, and Prof. Hind Abu Al-Shaar, Professor
of Modern History at Al al-Bayt University, who discussed the history of churches during the
Ottoman era in the Levant. The seminar was moderated by Prof. Shahla Ujayli, Professor of
Modern Arabic Literature and Cultural Studies at AUM.
This event, held as part of the university’s celebrations for Christmas, was attended by a number
of AUM students, faculty, staff, researchers, and guests from the local community. The
documentary exhibition remains open to the public until December 19, 2024, in the BA Building
Hall.
